Lake Travis North
The north shore of Lake Travis features a beautiful combination of oak and cedar trees, rolling hills and steep canyons. The original settlers of this area were probably the Comanche and Tonkawa Indians, and for another slice of history you can see permanent wagon trail ruts in the ground near the area's foothills. Homes on the Lake Travis north shore are as close as 45 minutes from downtown Austin, although many are much further away.
