9.7.11: Real Estate Firm Sponsors Successful Clothing Drive for Fire Victims

AUSTIN, Texas – In an effort to provide clothing and other necessities to the victims of the fires in Steiner Ranch, Leander and Bastrop, Bartlett Real Estate set up a clothing drive at their office (6816 RR 620N) today, September 7th from 8am to 5pm.  Within minutes of opening, they were overwhelmed by the response of the community coming together to help their neighbors.  “People have been bringing not only gently used articles of clothing but brand new items as well.  One person showed up with what must have been $300 worth of kids’ underwear and socks!” said Marissa Radack of Bartlett Real Estate. Jason Stubbs with Heavenly Care Moving was generous enough to donate one of his trucks which will be used to deliver the donated items. Bartlett Group agent and Steiner Ranch evacuee, Stacey Rider was the organizing force behind the effort as she had the personal experience of having to leave her home in Steiner with only ten minutes of notice.  “My husband and I didn’t even have a moment to talk as we systematically packed our two cars with our pets and whatever personal items we thought were important.”  Rider said.  “My eight year old daughter, Emma, became hysterical when we got the call to evacuate so I told her to go pack some of her toys and tried to keep myself as calm as possible.”

Bartlett Real Estate of Keller Williams is one of the most successful real estate groups in Austin and is a partnership of top producing agents who are dedicated to community involvement.  They coordinate events throughout the year that support the Austin Lake Region of Four Points, a community where they work, play and raise their families.
